Introduction to Leadership

Course outline

The move from being a member of the team to leading the team is one of the biggest transitions an individual will make in their career. This workshop allows delegates to explore what makes an effective leader in terms of their skills, abilities and actions.

Objectives

On completion of the course, delegates will:

  • recognise the differences between leadership and management and the value of both
  • have explored the skills and actions that lead to effective leadership
  • be able to identify the most suitable leadership style to use in different situations
  • know how to motivate and engage a variety of team members

This workshop is recommended for anyone who is new to the role of people manager and is looking to understand how they can make this a smooth transition.
